The Shun Classic Slicing Knife not only makes food look delicious by enabling thin cuts and even slices, but it can also make food taste better. Ideal for slicing a wide variety of meats, can also be used to cut larger vegetables. The longer length, narrower blade, and Shun-sharp edge creates long, even slices without tearing or sawing. This clean cut keeps more of the meat juices and flavors inside the meat, rather than pooling on the cutting board. The blade cut slices with a single, long stroke, while the narrow profile and razor-sharp edge lets the blade glide through the meat with less friction so each slice is perfect.

The Shun Classic line features beautiful Damascus-clad blades with D-shaped ebony PakkaWood handles. The razor-sharp blades offer top performance. Shun's proprietary high-performance VG-MAX steel provides incredible edge retention. Blades are handcrafted of durable clad with Damascus stainless steel, ground and bead-blasted creating a flowing pattern of the layered steel. The result is a line of knives that are sharp, durable, and corrosion resistant, as well as beautiful to hold. Handcrafted in Seki, Japan with a limited lifetime warranty.
